On November 24th and 25th, the INFERNO consortium partners gathered in Dresden, Germany, at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research. The technical developments of the project have been discussed with a clear path for the next steps in the development of the INFERNO system.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the lab tour at the Institute for Metallic Materials of IFW, led by the Institute Director Prof. Dr. Kornelius Nielsch. Partners got the chance to visit the teams and labs for materials fabrication (nanostructured bulk thermoelectrics group), materials characterization (nanostructured bulk thermoelectrics group and micro system technology group), module assembling (module engineering group), module characterization (micro system technology group and module engineering group) and legs protection by ALD (Interface engineering and atomic layer deposition group).
